  • When Nikita Khrushchev died, a humorous story circulated in political circles. The Communist party had cast Mr. Khrushchev aside and was uncomfortable about burying his body on Soviet soil. So they called President Richard Nixon, but President Nixon had his own problems at the time and declined. Then the Soviet leaders tried Golda Meir, Prime Minister of Israel. She was agreeable but added, “I must warn you that this country has the world’s highest resurrection rate.”

    Persistent ankle weakness led Michael Hamilton to a diagnosis he never expected.

    The 48-year-old father and grandfather was diagnosed with ALS in August 2013 after months of testing. Recently, Hamilton’s oldest daughter Jennifer has started an online fundraiser to buy her father a handicap accessible van.

    For as long as he can remember, Milt Toby has always been involved in some aspect of the horse industry. Intending to become a veterinarian, he eventually decided upon a different course and began writing about the horse racing industry.

They saw him heal the lame and they said he did it on the Sabbath. He raised Lazarus from the dead and they said he must die. How can you stand in front of the Son of God, see him do unbelievable miracles and not believe? That is the power of sin. We all struggle with it all of our lives.

  • Tess Gerdemann just returned to North Oldham High School after spending the fall semester as U.S. Senate Page appointed by Sen. McConnell. On her first day of service on the Senate floor she witnessed the Senate debate on Syria; she worked all night during Sen. Cruz’s filibuster; and she witnessed the daily back and forth among the Senators as they wrestled with the budget issues and government shutdown.
