  • Prospect Chamber hosts Denny Crum

    The Prospect Area Chamber hosted a joint breakfast Thursday with the Prospect/Goshen Rotary Club.
    Special guest speaker is legendary University of Louisville basketball coach Denny Crum.
    Crum served as coach from 1971 to 2002, and led the team to six Final Four tournaments – 1975, 1980, 1982, 1983 and 1986.

  • Magistrate requests that GOP chair be removed from office

    The chair of the county’s Republican Party is under fire and a local official has requested she be removed from office.
    Pewee Valley resident JD Sparks, a Republican recently elected to serve as an Oldham County magistrate, has requested that Oldham County GOP Chair Anne Gernstein be removed from office.

  • South Oldham Rotary honors students

    The South Oldham Rotary Club recently honored the January Students of the Month – Spencer Young and Zachary Patrick Killion.
    The club’s vocational services director, John Longstreet, presented a framed certificate to the students.
     Young is a senior at South Oldham High School and attends the Arvin Center in the culinary division.

    If you have an opinion regarding Veterans Administration Services, the Veterans Voices of Kentuckiana, mental health consumer council wants to hear from you.
    The council’s purpose is to ensure that all veterans receive the highest quality of services available from the Department of Veterans Affairs.
