    Crestwood Civic Meeting

    The next meeting of the Crestwood Civic Club will be Friday, April 11 at 10:30 a.m. Location: 7215 Kavanaugh Road, Crestwood, Kentucky

    Presentation will be made by Bobbie Stoess on behalf of the South Oldham Inter-Church Council. For information, call 222-7908.

    Dance class

    Everyone is invited to shake a leg with us this Friday. Class starts at 7:30 with a group lesson in tango and then party until 10 p.m. Cost is $5 per person. Requests are taken. If any questions call (502) 225-4361.

  • ‘Blue Tea’ scheduled for April 13

    Each year Discover Downtown La Grange local merchants join together with Ovarian Awareness of Kentucky (O.A.K) and Baptist Health La Grange to host the Blue Hydrangea Progressive Tea. This is an annual fundraiser for cancer education and support. All ticket proceeds benefit O.A.K. The tea will be held in downtown La Grange Sunday afternoon, April 13, from 1-5 p.m.. Visitors purchase tickets in advance for $10 each, or $15 the day of the event.

    Arts Gala

    Goshen Elementary in Prospect will be hosting it’s annual Arts Gala, March 21 from 5:30p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The theme of the event is Imagine and will feature 700 pieces of student art, a dance performance and a short play.

    Gospel Concert

    Dehaven Baptist Church at 301 W. Main Street in La Grange, will be offering a free southern gospel concert performance by Adoration on Sunday, March 23, at 7 p.m.

  • YMCA launches annual campaign

    The Oldham County Family YMCA has launched its annual campaign to ensure that everyone in the Oldham County area has access to vital community programs and resources that support youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

    Every day, the Oldham County Family Y works to support the people and neighborhoods that need it most by addressing community issues, such as chronic diseases and obesity. Through programs and facilities at the La Grange Community Center, the Y is able to meet the needs of some of the community’s most needy families.
