Finally, return of the Garden Geeks lecture series. This 4-session offering has become a favorite with those looking for more information than the typical 50-minute garden slide show. Each 4-part series focuses on a specific topic and this time around, we’re all about plant collectors. The 19th and early 20th century plant explorers from England, Scotland and Ireland made horticultural history as they spanned the globe and brought into cultivation some of our most celebrated garden plants. Part garden talk, part history, a little geography (no test, don’t worry!) and lots of adventure: this will be a series of fun and engaging evening programs. And remember, as always, program starts at 6:30 but be sure to come at 6pm to join us for some hot soup and informal plant gabbing!
