CRESTWOOD – Kyle Wiedemer’s talents were put to the test as the South Oldham High School senior took the Pentathlon title at the Christian Academy Invitational April 16.
“It was the first time anyone from our school had ever competed in it so I hold the school record which is cool,” Wiedemer said.
The event, rarely held in high school meets, included the 200-meter dash, 800-meter run, high jump, shot put and long jump.
Wiedemer, who normallly runs the 800, was chosen by SOHS coach Stan Clark for his versatility.
