BUCKNER – For Jasmine Whitfield it was simply a matter of taking a breath.
After watching a 13-point lead evaporate to three points early in the fourth quarter, Whitfield helped lead a charge by the South Oldham Lady Dragons that pushed them back to the front en route to a 55-37 win over Oldham County Friday.
“They wanted to get us in a quick game and to take fast shots and they did,” Whitfield said. “We just had to take a step back and do the things we do well and the things we had to do to win.”
