BOYS’ BASKETBALL
OLDHAM COUNTY 56,                                                                                           SHELBY COUNTY 53
Oldham County survived a late surge from host Shelby County Jan. 25 to improve to 15-7 on the season.
Shelby County pulled within two with under a minute to play as James Gordon was sent to the line to try and convert an And 1, but the free throw fell short.
Garrett Masters scored 18 points to lead Oldham County. Anthony Johnson also added 16 points, nailing three 3-pointers. With the loss, Shelby County fall to 8-14.
The Colonels will return to the floor at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 1 as they welcome Collins to Buckner.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
SOUTH OLDHAM 75,                                                              NORTH BULLITT 43
In addition to leading South Oldham to a big 75-43 win over North Bullitt Jan. 24, senior Kenzie Beaudrie turned in a memorable performance from the field as well, falling just short of a quadruple-double with a career-high 20 points 11 steals, 10 assists and 9 rebounds.
Sydney Jones also added 12 points for South Oldham as they improve to 9-12, including an 8-1 run in their last nine games.
They’ll return to the floor at 7:30 p.m. today (Thursday) as they travel to Meade County for a showdown with the Lady Waves, who are 14-8.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL
NORTH OLDHAM 66,                                                              HENRY COUNTY 59
North Oldham made 13 of 15 free throws, including five of six in the fourth quarter, to move past visiting Henry County for their sixth win in a row.
After falling behind 13-9 in the first quarter, the Mustangs opened up a 22-6 run in the second to assume control and never looked back.
David Levitch led North with a game-high 22 points, while Justin Cundiff added 15.
They’ll return to the floor at 7:30 p.m. today (Thursday) as they Trimble County.
