Hosparus seeks volunteers in Henry, Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer and Trimble counties to provide patient support, administrative duties, event support, hair care and massage therapy. The non-profit hospice organization will offer free trainings at its main Louisville campus, 3532 Ephraim McDowell Dr.
1. Administrative/Event Support (separate trainings)
11:30 a.m. – 1 p. m., Thursday, February 27
9 – 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 27
3 – 4:30 p.m., Thursday, April 24
2. Patient Support (those interested must attend all three trainings to become volunteers).
5:30 – 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 11, 18 and 25 (light supper provided).

Hosparus volunteers help with patient and family support, hair care, massage, administrative duties, bereavement care, outreach, fundraising and special events. Hosparus volunteers must be in good health, have available transportation and complete a training and application process.
For more than 35 years, Hosparus, a fully accredited non-profit hospice organization, has provided care, comfort and counseling for people facing life-limiting illnesses in Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
