A pickup truck left U.S. 42 Tuesday evening resulting in the driver's arrest but no injuries.
The crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of Ky. 53 as the driver headed eastbound.
Christopher Kist, 49, was arrested at the scene and charged with driving under the influence. He is also charged with failure to maintain insurance, no registration and wanton endangerment for a juvenile passenger in the vehicle.
Oldham County EMS transported the passenger to a local hospital although no injuries are suspected, said Sgt. Neil Johnson, Oldham County Police Department's collision reconstructionist.
Tire tracks in the mud go for at least 20 feet before the truck stuck a telephone pole on an embankment. The tires flung mud onto a billboard nearby, at least 10 feet high.
The truck ended spinning 180 degrees and the telephone pole landed on the other side of the street.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
