Trooper finds Grandma passed out behind the wheel of a running vehicle

A Milton woman faces a DUI charge after police found her passed out behind the wheel of her running vehicle with her grandchildren inside.
According to Kentucky State Police, officers found Milton resident Kathy Thornton, 44, passed out in the driver’s seat of her car at 3:15 a.m. Nov. 15.
Police found her vehicle stopped in the middle of the road on Pendleton Loop.
KSP Trooper Tim Moore found Thornton’s two young grandchildren, a 3-year-old girl and 1-year-old boy, asleep in the back seat.
