The Oldham County Schools Arts Center presents Eddie and Alonzo Pennington’s thumbpicking style performance at 7 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $10. Oldham County students are admitted free. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door with cash, check or credit card. Eddie Pennington is a well-known Kentucky musician who is carrying on the unique style of guitar playing known as thumbpicking. The style originated in Western Kentucky and was made famous by such musical greats as Merle Travis, Chet Atkins, and Jerry Reed.
