Merchants in downtown La Grange will host a progressive Blue Hydrangea tea party to benefit Ovarian Awareness of Kentucky from 1 to 5 p.m. April 18. The event is in its third year. In 2009, 470 people attended raised more than $5,000.
Baptist Hospital Northeast is the signature sponsor, and the Masonic Lodge No. 47 F&AM also offered sponsorship.
The event is organized by Lisa Adams in memory of the late Cindy Adams, a long-time La Grange merchant who founded the event and died in 2009 from ovarian cancer.
