La Grange Police received numerous tips in the case of a woman allegedly swiping a stolen debit card at restaurants and retail stores in Oldham and Henry counties after her photo appeared on several media websites and newscasts.
According to La Grange Police, the card was stolen in Louisville and was swiped several times in La Grange, including at Walmart, Burger King, Thornton’s and a car wash.
A transaction on the card was also attempted in New Castle where the transaction was denied.
The woman using the card was driving a black minivan, used a handicapped parking space, and also used a motorized shopping buggy at Walmart.
A surveillance camera at Walmart captured an image of the woman's face. She has been identified and turned herself in.
She is Tonya Wietholter, 36, of Eminence.
