SUPERINTENDENT: School calendar decision-making

The development and management of the school calendar is an ongoing challenge for district personnel and the school board each year.  Inclement weather during the winter months makes finalizing the end of school, and end-of-year plans, difficult.  Decisions must be made regarding the date and location of commencement ceremonies for graduating seniors.   At times family plans may need to be adjusted depending on the number of school days missed in a given year.  Our district calendar committee does an excellent job addressing issues arising during each current year
