Residents throughout most of the county will soon pay $36 to $80 per year to improve local water quality, thanks to a pair of ordinances passed by members of fiscal court Aug. 6.
The program comes from an unfunded federal mandate to improve local water quality as part of the Clean Water Act.
Residents in five incorporated cities – Pewee Valley, Orchard Grass, River Bluff, Goshen and Crestwood – in Oldham County will see a bill for the storm water fee.
