Storm plus power outage equals early dismissal for OCMS, OCHS

Students at Oldham County Middle and Oldham County High schools were dismissed at 11 a.m. Sept. 27 due to a power outage.

OCMS, OCHS and Buckner Elementary lost power during an early morning lightning storm. Students report as they arrived OCHS, teachers escorted freshmen to the freshmen hallway of the school, sophomores to the cafeteria, and juniors and seniors to exterior classrooms illuminated by window light.

Buckner Elementary students stayed on their regular school schedule.
