Volunteers sat under the clippers Saturday afternoon outside Fast Break Pizza in Crestwood as part of a St. Baldrick’s fundraiser, the world’s largest volunteer-driven fundraising event for childhood cancer research. Thousands of volunteers shave their heads in solidarity of children with cancer, while requesting donations of support from friends and family. Insub Beckley said his head stuck “like Velcro” to his T-shirt when he changed clothes. Mike Mudd raised more than $930. He’s a cancer survivor who has shaved his head six times for St. Baldrick’s.
