Spring Training 5K planned April 5 in Pewee Valley

Members of the Pewee Valley Fire Protection District will host the second-annual Spring Training 5K run/walk onApril 5. All proceeds from the event will again benefit the WHAS Crusade for Children. The run/walk will take place in the heart of Pewee Valley, winding through the scenery of Houston Lane, Mount Mercy Drive, Muirs Lane and Rollington Road. Participants and their families will have the chance to view historic fire trucks on display, participate in free health screenings and win door prizes. Registration is $20 and begins at 8 a.m. The run/walk starts at 9 a.m.
