OCHS Lax Pro-Am

Oldham County High School’s lacrosse team will host a Middle School Pro-Am Clinic at OCHS over the next month. The first session is from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday with registration from 5-5:30.

Subsequent dates are Nov. 5, 12, 19 and 26, each from 5:30-7 p.m.

The clinic is for boys ages 9-14 and will take place at the OCHS Lacrosse Practice Field.

Cost is $50 and checks can be made payable to OCHS LAX.

The camp is designed for both the beginner and intermediate player interested in playing competitive lacrosse at the varsity high school level and club teams.

This will be a NON-contact camp.

Helmet, gloves and stick are required. Some equipment will be available for use during the camp.

The OCHS lacrosse team will conduct a fast paced instruction for the players focusing on technique, stick skills, positioning and field IQ required for advance play.

An OCHS participation waiver is required before stepping on the field.

SOHS hosting lacrosse camp

The 5th annual Fall Practice and Player Camp will be held at South Oldham High School November 18-21. 

For new players sticks will be provided and basic skills will be  introduced. 

For returning players, full gear is needed as you practice and play under the lights at South Oldham’s Dragon Stadium.

The cost is $60.

OCMS cheer wins JamFest

OCMS cheerleading won the Jamfest Mega Jam Series event on Oct. 6.

OCMS beat Anderson County Middle School and they also beat out five teams for Grand Champion, including  North Oldham Middle School and two high school teams.

OC Tigers play for title

The OC Tigers will play for a championship against the Lousiville Patriots at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Trinity High School in Louisville.

OC Tornadoes Tryouts

The Oldham County Tornadoes will host 4th and 5th grade girls basketball tryouts from 9-11 a.m. Saturday. Another date may be added if necessary.

The tryouts will take place at the Oldham County High School main gym.

Enter through the doors facing the OCHS soccer fields behind the school. The Tornadoes plan to practice twice a week and compete in local or regional tournaments and leagues for the upcoming 2013-14 basketball season.
