With North Oldham Little League wrapping up a Junior League state championship in the early game on July 25, South Oldham made sure to capture the Senior League state title in the night cap, outlasting Ashland National 9-6 in extra innings.

That said, the games couldn't have been more different.

While North cruised to an easy win, South found itself in a grinder for the better part of the day, trading blows with Ashland until the final out. Their victory comes in large part on the heels of a five run eigth inning, where SOLL put their foot on the gas and never looked back.

Tyler Patton proved to be the difference for SOLL, chipping in two RBIs on one hit, while Brian Ridgeway and Ticorian Williams each paced the team with a ribbie as well.
