South Oldham Rotary honors students

The South Oldham Rotary Club recently honored the January Students of the Month – Spencer Young and Zachary Patrick Killion.
The club’s vocational services director, John Longstreet, presented a framed certificate to the students.
 Young is a senior at South Oldham High School and attends the Arvin Center in the culinary division.
Young participated in baseball at South Oldham High School his freshman and sophomore years and also took part in the gifted and talented program.
After graduation, Young plans to attend Columbia College Hollywood in Los Angeles and become a director focusing on movies.
In his free time Young enjoys making and filming videos and hanging out with friends.
 Killion is a senior at South Oldham High School where he participates in the Beta Club, National Honor Society, soccer team, cross country team, track team, ski club and Spanish honor society.
Killion plans to become a mechanical engineer and use his skills to minister to those in need in third world countries while preaching the word of God after graduating from the University of Kentucky, Mississippi State University or University of Evansville.
Outside of school he enjoys snowboarding, following his favorite sports teams and spending time with friends.
 The South Oldham Rotary Club meets at 7:30 a.m. Fridays at the Oldham County Arts Center, Crestwood.
