South Oldham coach earns Coach of the Year honors

After leading her team to a season unlike any other, South Oldham swim coach Christine O’Rourke was honored Feb. 8 as the Region 2 Coach of the Year.
Fittingly, she was doing what she does best — coaching — when the award was announced. In fact, she was so caught up in preparing one of her swimmers for competition, she almost missed the announcement all-together.
Once it sunk in though, she was almost at a loss for words. With her team competing in the talent-rich Louisville area, O’Rourke said it was a great honor to be recognized by her peers.
