SOMS students set reading goals

South Oldham Middle School students have been busy reading during the summer. The primary goal of the summer reading program, which began two years ago, is to encourage students to develop a life-long interest in reading.This year overall participation topped 70 percent school-wide, with the seventh-graders in the lead at 83 percent participation.Students chose a book from a lengthy list, which included titles to capture a variety of interests.
