NEW CASTLE – For South Oldham basketball coach Steve Simpson, Tuesday’s regional tournament loss ended more than a season — it ended a journey that began when his family moved to Oldham County six years ago and his son Drew began making friends with other guys on his middle school basketball team. A couple years later those guys were trying out for the high school basketball team and this year they became the core of the team, the senior leadership. Tuesday night, they showed the toughness of veterans.
