Shakespeare behind bars

-A A +A
By The Staff

Prison inmates bring personal experiences to the tale of ‘Macbeth’ Every year, dozens of groups perform Shakespeare’s “Macbeth.” But few, if any, actors understand the lead role at the level of Ron Brown.  Unlike other actors portraying the murdering Macbeth, Brown knows what it’s like to feel the weight of a man he murdered. He knows the immediate remorse, he knows the finality of the act and he’s coming to terms with the repercussions of it. Call the play “Macbeth” or call it Ron.
