After years of preparation, the plans for Station Two for the Pewee Valley Fire Protection Department were finally approved during a special meeting Monday night.
The station will be built in Shelby County to allow for faster response time for people living out there. While no contract has officially been agreed on, the board approved the final specs of the new building and agreed on a price. They will begin finalizing a contract with E and H Construction for the project, which will cost $1.59 million.
