Reading, writing and arithmetic are sooo regular school year.

Students at Harmony Elementary School’s summer academy instead learned June 23-27 about the three “Cs” — climbing, crawlies and choreography.

For the third year, the school hosted a variety of summer camps that gave students the opportunity to dive into subjects they may not learn during the regular school year, such as French or Spanish, or which may be too expensive for the regular curriculum — such as art classes where students fuse glass and make pottery.

Students learned climbing techniques on the climbing wall, some learned about creepy crawly insects, others perfected their Hannah Montana song and dance routine among various other camps.
