Ross named principal of EOMS

The East Oldham Middle School site-based decision-making council has selected a new principal.

Associate principal Jim Ross will serve as principal effective July 1. Ross will replace Lynda Redmon who plans to retire after seven years as EOMS principal.

Ross has served as associate principal and athletic director at East Oldham Middle School since it opened in 2005.

Before coming to EOMS, Ross was the assistant principal and athletic director at Oldham County Middle School for five years.

Ross began his teaching career at OCMS in 1988 where he taught sixth grade science and social studies and eighth grade language arts.

He also served as OCMS football coach.

He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and has a master’s degree from the University of Louisville.
