County officials approved a general obligation bond ordinance Tuesday allowing the Oldham County Sewer District to refinance $7.4 million of its debt.
According to the ordinance, by refinancing through a general obligation bond, the county is avoiding another rate increase for OCSD customers.
In addition, OCSD will agree to provide revenue to the county to make principal and interest payments.
Public response to the ordinance has been mixed and several spoke up at the public hearing after receiving a flier from Magistrate Scott Davis.
