A developer offered the county $96,000 for road improvements in exchange for approval to develop a subdivision on a narrow, curvy road near Centerfield. Planning and zoning commissioners approved George Clore’s proposed plan to develop Camden Ridge, a 131-acre subdivision with 64 single-family residences on South Camden Lane. The subdivision will sit between Kentucky Acres subdivision and Lake Pointe subdivision. Despite opposition from 17 residents of adjoining neighborhoods, development plans were approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission Feb. 26.
