P&Z approves plan for cell tower

T-Mobile customers in Oldham County will soon get better reception while talking on their cell phones.Powertel/Memphis Inc., the company that owns T-Mobile, will construct a telecommunications tower on Dispatchers Way in Buckner to improve wireless service for T-Mobile users. The 260-foot tower will include a 15-foot lightning rod and four satellite dishes near a 300-foot tower for Oldham County Central Dispatch.Oldham County Planning and Zoning commissioners unanimously approved the development plan for the tower Tuesday.
