Residents of the city of Prospect won't see a property tax increase this year as the Prospect City Council approved the same rate as last year, a rate of 21.25 cents per $100 of assessed property. At that rate, those residents of Prospect who live within Oldham County paid a higher rate than any other residents of Oldham. Other cities in the county have yet to approve a rate for next year.
The rate is expected to raise $1.7 million over the next fiscal year for the city, slightly less than the current fiscal year, ending June 30.
