The mayor of Prospect has announced his plans to resign next month.
Prospect Mayor Todd Eberle announced Tuesday he plans to resign from his post effective March 9.
Eberle said his health has declined after a car crash more than a year ago. He also cited increasing family obligations out of town.

He has enjoyed more than eight years on the Prospect city council.
