Prospect Jewelers' new location sparkles

-A A +A
By Janell Oliver

All that glitters is not gold.
But if it’s found in the recently expanded Prospect Jewelers store – it could be even better.
Customers gathered recently to mark the grand re-opening of an even bigger and better jewelry store, complete with a new private consultation area.
The celebration continued through June 25. A portion of all sales during that time will benefit  Edge Outreach, an international non-profit based in Louisville that teaches ordinary people how to provide safe drinking water.
Owner Rob Prince said the expansion and change of inventory is a result of listening to clients and making a commitment to the next decade.
“We spent 10 years at our old location and we plan to spend at least 10 years here,” he said. Located at 9537 U.S 42 in the Prospect Point Shopping Center, the new location includes more convenient parking and glass displays.
Behind the glass are Prince’s fresh, new ideas that he said have little to do with brands and more to do with unique quality.
“It is very important to our clients that when they shop at Prospect Jewelers, they trust they will not see the piece they have purchased from us at another event or function,” Prince said.
In attendance were Joanna and Bill Panning, who said they have been customers for years. Bill, who bought his wife, Joanna, a sapphire necklace from Prospect Jewelers in December, said he wanted to be present at the reception to see the new inventory.
“Rob always has such quality. We just had to come see,” Panning said.
Also present were Jerrie and Carroll Isaacs who own Isaacs Gallery in Shelbyville and keep a display from Prospect Jewelers in their shop.
“We wanted to be here to congratulate Rob,” said Carroll Isaacs. “We hope to have some of his new lines in our store.”
