A proposed fencing ordinance in Prospect is being called too intrusive and unenforceable.
Members of the Prospect city council are have been formulating new guidelines for fences since winter.
Residents’ latest concerns stem from two provisions in the ordinance.
It states temporary fences are allowable for seasonal vegetable gardens, but shouldn’t be visible from the road.
Resident Peggy Mealey-Miles said with some effort, most backyards are visible from the street.
