June 13 marks the 23rd year that Oldham County residents, businesses and organizations have hosted Project Graduation. Graduating seniors from all Oldham County high schools will gather at South Oldham High School for the annual night-long celebration beginning at 11 p.m. This year’s theme, “Caribbean Nights,” captures the feel of the tropics. The halls and grounds of SOHS will be transformed into a paradise lined with palm trees, a beach, volleyball, a spa, karaoke, music, dancing, food and fun. All participants will win prizes.   Many students look forward to this event all year long.  Parents of Oldham County seniors are happy to know their children are in a safe, supervised event that does not include drugs or alcohol. Project Graduation is a charitable event that allows the community to give back to the next generation of Oldham County leaders.  Its success is only possible with the help of many volunteers, donors, and community sponsors.   To donate or volunteer for this event, e-mail diane.gross@pnc.com – for donations – or ingandtom@bellsouth.net – for volunteers.
