BUCKNER – Every Monday the Oldham County Piranhas – 164 strong – take to the water for a Louisville Swim Association meet.
Whether the meet is home at the county’s aquatics center or another pool, it takes a small army of parent volunteers to insure meets run smoothly.
“The parents, the volunteers are the backbone of our team,” Piranhas coach Laura Feese said. “Normally there is no squawking about who is doing what, where or when. We are very blessed.”
