Children who fly too high on the swings or slide too far from the slide at Wendell Moore Park will no longer land in a splintery heap of wood mulch.
Oldham County Parks and Recreation plans to funding from a state grant to install a new playground surface in one of the county’s most used parks.
The county will spend $16,700 in grant money to purchase mulch made from recycled rubber tires and replace the wood mulch in the playground of Wendell Moore Park.
