Pewee Valley resident named student leader at Transylvania

South Oldham High School graduate and Transylvania University sophomore David Akers has been named a Student Orientation Leader for the 2008-09 academic year.

SOLs help plan freshman orientation and help introduce new students to college life.

They help new students make academic and social transitions to college life.They work closely with a faculty member in teaching our University 1111 classes.

Akers, a mathematics and psychology double major, is the son of Carol Akers of Pewee Valley.
