Two new Oldham parent groups launched recently to support parents of children with special needs. Residents created the Special Education Parent Teacher Association of Oldham County and Hope Huddle with similar goals in mind — to provide support and information to parents trying to get the best education possible for their special needs children. SEPTA President Donna Allen has two sons, one has high functioning autism, the other has Asperger’s Syndrome. They’ve had wonderful teachers in Oldham County schools, she said.
