Oldham fiscal court awards fuel, oil bids

Fuel and oil for Oldham County Road Department vehicles will now be supplied by companies in neighboring counties.

The Oldham County Fiscal Court unanimously approved bids from Southern Petroleum Inc. in Pendleton to supply diesel fuel to the road department. Oil for the department’s vehicles will be supplied by Louisville-based Apollo Oil.

The recommendation came from fiscal court’s road committee, which requested bids in January. The committee received six bids.
