The Republican Party of Oldham County hosts an annual Lincoln Day Dinner as the organization’s only annual fundraising event.

This year is the 21st annual event and will commemorate the bicentennial celebration of Republican President Abraham Lincoln’s birthday.

The 2009 Lincoln Day Dinner is planned Feb. 22 at the John W. Black Community Center in Buckner.

A reception begins at 5 p.m., followed by a catered meal and program at 6 p.m. A pianist will provide music. Advance reservations are required.

The speaker is U.S. Army (Ret.) Sgt. Maj. Tony Rose, a 9/11 Pentagon survivor and rescuer. His message will serve as a reminder of the necessity for all to remain vigilant to ensure national security.

U.S. Sen. Jim Bunning will also speak.

To make a reservation, call Oldham County Republican headquarters at 222-8832 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, or call 228-8542. The deadline is Monday.
