OC, South host Senior Nights Friday

   Oldham County will look to close the regular season with a win at 7:30 p.m. Friday against Jeffersontown.

   The Colonels (2-7, 0-3 Class 6A, District 5) lost their fourth straight last Friday when they fell 39-13 to Ballard in their final district game.

   Quarterback Jeremiah Bosco went 11-of-18 for 82 yards with one touchdown and one interception.

   OC beat J’Town 16-12 last season and has won five of the last six meetings.

   Coach Nathan Jones’ Chargers beat Iroquois 21-7 last week.

South Oldham back after bye

   The Class 5A, District 5 champion South Oldham Dragons are back in action Friday after a bye week, hosting Bullitt Central at 7:30 p.m.

   South has won its last four games, all of them coming in district play.

   Chase Lightfoot has completed 50 percent of his passes this season with 19 touchdowns and just two interceptions.

   Kevin Kuriger leads the team in rushing, going for 791 yards and six touchdowns. Davis Culbertson (781 yards, eight touchdowns) is South’s leading receiver.

   Bullitt Central (4-5, 1-2 Class 5A, District 4) lost 43-7 to Simon Kenton last week, the Cougars’ third loss in a row and fifth in six games.

   South has beat Bullitt Central each of the last two years, with the most recent outcome being a 41-35 Dragon win in August of 2012.
