The pomp and circumstance will be quadrupled in Oldham County on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. That’s when four Postmasters will be sworn-in at Briar Hill Park, 7320 Orchard Grass Blvd. East, in Crestwood.
Randalene Cross, Andrea Braden, Patricia Stonicher and Kimberlee Travis will be installed as Postmasters of Crestwood, Pewee Valley, Goshen and LaGrange, respectively.
Flags will be presented by the Oldham County High School Color Guard; the National Anthem will be performed by Susan Leopold, acting Postmaster of Buckner, KY; Don Acree of Beulah Land Baptist Church will give the invocation; Dr. Nancy Stearns Theiss of the Oldham County Historical Society will speak on the county’s history; Oldham County Judge Executive David Voegele will be the guest speaker.
The event is free and open to the public.
Randalene Cross – Crestwood Post Office, 40014
Mrs. Cross began her postal career 28 years ago as a city carrier at the Buechel carrier unit in Louisville. Prior to her promotion, she was the Postmaster of Pewee Valley. She has worked as a supervisor of customer service at the Annshire and Lyndon Post Offices in Louisville, and as both a customer service and rural analyst. She has served as Officer-in-Charge at the Sellersburg, LaGrange and Shelbyville Post Offices and in numerous details as manager of post office operations, retail manager and manager of delivery programs.
The Crestwood Post Office services more than 8,300 delivery points with 13 rural routes and has 30 employees. The office generated over $3.1 million in revenue in 2013.
Randi is married to Steve Cross. They have two children, Angela and Stephen, and a grandson, Noah.
Andrea Braden – Pewee Valley Post Office, 40056
Mrs. Braden began her postal career 28 years ago as a city carrier at the Buechel carrier unit in Louisville. Prior to her promotion, she served as an accounting technician and Postmaster of Buckner, KY. She served on details in central forwarding and address management, and was an acting supervisor.
The Pewee Valley Post Office services more than 1,100 delivery points with two rural routes and 517 Post Office Boxes. It had over $550,000 in revenue last year.
Andrea is married to David Braden. They have a daughter, Jenilyn.
Patricia Stonicher – Goshen Post Office, 40026
Mrs. Stonicher began her Postal career as a city carrier in Metairie, LA in 1981. She was appointed Postmaster of Madisonville, LA in 2002. During her career, she has been a supervisor of delivery and customer service and held several Officer-in-Charge positions as well as assisting in the Louisiana District Office as the associate supervisor coordinator, sales and marketing account representative, editor of the Louisiana News publication and loaned executive for the Combined Federal Campaign.
Mrs. Stonicher moved to the Kentucky area in August of 2010. She was Officer-in-Charge at Simpsonville, KY Post Office before arriving in Goshen in December 2012.
Goshen has more than 1,900 delivery points with four rural routes and generates $400,000 in annual revenue.
Patti is married to Richard Stonicher. They have two children, Richard Jr. and Kristen.
Kimberlee Travis – LaGrange Post Office, 40031
Ms. Travis began her Postal career 19 years ago as a city carrier at the Iroquois Post Office in Louisville. Prior to her appointment in LaGrange, she served as a supervisor at the Middletown, Annshire, Standiford Station, Iroquois and Downtown Post Offices in Louisville. She also served as acting manager for Pleasure Ridge Park and Downtown Post Offices and manager of the Jeffersontown, Middletown and Iroquois Post Offices in Louisville.
The LaGrange Post Office services over 8,000 delivery points with 3.5 city routes and 10.5 rural routes. The office generated over $2.7 million in revenue in 2013.
Kimberlee is engaged to Rick Dages. Together they have five children – Erin, Makenzie, Scott, Chaz and Payton.
