Never say die: North Oldham rallies from 2-1 hole to claim 29th district championship

Entering the season with high expectations after a semifinal appearance in the 2012 state tournament, the North Oldham Mustangs took a step closer to a repeat appearance Wednesday night, outlasting South Oldham 3-2 to claim the 29th district crown.

The Dragons gave them all they wanted though.

After North came out firing with a 25-15 game one win, South settled down, climbing out to a 24-15 lead in the second game. Though the Mustangs did manage to claw their way back within three points at 24-21, the Dragons finally put it away on the next serve with a 25-21 win.
