Mustangs beat Grant County in region

NEW CASTLE – After a slight case of the first-time region shakes, the North Oldham baseball team settled in to beat Grant County 8-1 Monday in the opening round of the Eighth Region tournament.“We started off a little shaky with an error in the infield and a dropped ball in the oufield that basically gave them their run,” NOHS coach Matt Walker said. “After that, we kind of regrouped and really played well.”NOHS’ offense came alive with sophomore Mike Gant going three-for-four at the plate with three singles.
