There was a time in Oldham County when people preparing to move in could choose the school they wanted their children to attend before choosing the house they wanted to buy. Parents moving into this robustly growing county haven’t been able to do that for some time now. Or at least, they haven’t been able to do it with a guarantee that the school they choose will be the school their child attends throughout their elementary years. The Oldham County Board of Education has found itself in a unique, and often troublesome, position for the past few years.
