The former president of a medical equipment company will pay more than $79,000 in restitution to Medicare and Medicaid for submitting false claims and prescriptions for back braces. Anthony J. Conti, of 7903 Innisbrook Court, Prospect, and Conti Medical Concepts, through Conti – its former president – were sentenced March 18 for making false statements to health care benefit programs, including Medicare and Medicaid. Conti, 49, was sentenced to one year probation by U.S. District Court Judge Thomas B.
