Math really counts

The South Oldham Middle School Math Counts Team competed in the regional competition Feb. 2 at the University of Louisville and ranked 15th out of 28 local schools. Team members are eighth-grader Taylor Bryant and seventh-graders Emily McOmber (captain), Julia Niemann and Caroline Reents. Competing as individuals were seventh-graders Shawn Effingham, Felicia Houchens and Larissa Pack and sixth-grader Nathan Dearen. Emily Karweick, a sixth-grader, participated as an unofficial competitor.
