Locust Grove will help relieve overcrowding

The construction of Locust Grove Elementary School is moving forward well ahead of schedule. Located on the East Oldham campus off of Ky. 22, the new school will have a capacity of 700 and open school with about 590 students. With the opening of Locust Grove Elementary School in August, the district’s elementary school crowding will decrease significantly — dropping from our current number of 123 percent to 101.1 percent capacity. The Kentucky Department of Education establishes enrollment capacity numbers for each school.
